The context
A two-floor retail unit to be reconfigured from top to bottom, with an opening date already fixed and announced. The constraint was not the budget but the calendar: any slippage would have cost reputation as well as money.
The work
Demolition of the existing partitions, new internal layout in drylining, services ceilings, seamless floor finishes and finishes to the brand specification. Electrical installation and feature lighting, air conditioning, security system and access control. Shopfront and signage.
Managing the programme
Trades were planned to overlap under control, with finishing crews and services engineers working simultaneously on different floors. The programme was updated daily, with progress checked at the end of each day and realignment applied immediately whenever it drifted.
