The context
A 1990s office floor with a cellular layout, air conditioning at the end of its life and acoustic problems already reported by the occupants. The company could not relocate during the works.
The work
A new layout with open plan areas, acoustically isolated meeting rooms and focus spaces. Full replacement of the air conditioning with a variable refrigerant flow system and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. Acoustic treatment with absorbent ceiling panels. New structured cabling and lighting with automatic control.
Managing the phases
The work is split into three phases, each freeing one third of the floor at a time. Every phase closes with the area handed back complete with services and furniture, so staff move only once per section.
