Rooftop photovoltaic system on an industrial building
A 180 kWp self-consumption system sized against the plant’s daytime load profile.
Example entry: it illustrates a representative type of work, not a contract already delivered.

The context
A plant whose electricity use is concentrated in daylight hours — the ideal condition for photovoltaic self-consumption. The roof, however, was profiled metal sheet with a membrane at the end of its life: installing panels without addressing it would have meant taking them off again within a few years.
The work
Replacement of the waterproof membrane over the affected section of roof, then installation of the system on non-penetrating ballasted supports. Array combiner boards, inverters, monitoring system and upgrade of the main distribution board. Handling of the grid connection application with the network operator.
Sizing
Capacity was calculated against the actual load profile taken from twelve months of meter data, not against the available roof area. The result is a smaller system than the roof could theoretically carry, but with a high self-consumption share and a shorter payback period.
